Well, now it's official. My brother is getting a Mac and I'm here with my PC. This sucks!
Enough ranting, back to work!

The Reason for This Blog
This blog's purpose is to document my quest for a Mac.
A large part of my life dealing with computers has been spent longing for a Mac. I would spend hours on the internet, checking out the latest new Apple products and devising a way in which I would be able to own a Mac. Several options went through my head:
1- win an essay competition
2- win the lottery
3- have something go wrong with my computer so my parents would purchase it for me
4- save up the money and buy it myself
Number one proved to be nonexistent because every essay competition I found only gave the winner scholarship money. Number two shouldn't have even been included, since I don't even play the lottery. Number three actually happened, but my parents decided that it would be better just to get my Gateway PC updated rather than buy me a Mac. Number four seems to be the only way.
My meager part time salary has proven to be a big roadblock and I have only fully committed myself to saving up for an awesome Apple computer just recently. (aka. before my last paycheck) Part of my decision to finally give up and and save for it myself is that my brother is actually going to get an iMac from my parents because his computer messed up. At least I will get to work on his before I am finally able to buy one myself. (I am my brother's computer maintenance person.)
I'm not even sure how much I have to save. I have a decent desktop computer right now. It pretty much works smoothly. I could buy an iMac and replace the desktop or I could buy a MacBook. Right now, I'm thinking the MacBook. I already have a 'ok' desktop computer and would have to chunk it to make room for the iMac. The only problem I have with the MacBook is the small hard disk space. I know that since it would be a second computer, I wouldn't really need that much space and plus, I could always get the other MacBook with more disk space, but... If you have any recommendations, please post them in the comments. I need all the decision making help I can get! :-)

The Magnificent Beginning
...Or maybe not so magnificent.
Let's start with a little bit about me.
I am a:
-girl
-lover of anything Apple
-athlete
I've always loved computers, so, naturally, I became classified as a geek at a young age.
I love sports especially basketball and snowboarding.
My next post should be more interesting, not just an introduction to the world of me.
